Start Fresh Services staff  have successfully completed or are working towards: Certificate Three Cleaning Operations qualification. To ensure our staff are competent in the required skills and workplace health and safety we have implemented annual compulsory training in the following areas:

  • Biological hazards
  • Hand operated tools
  • Hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods
  • Manual Handling
  • Minimising risk using PPE
  • Noise hazard control
  • Slip and trip hazards
  • Working safely with hazardous chemicals
  • Manual tasks for workers

With this ongoing training and support for our staff our customers can be confident that all duties will be undertaken by a team who are up to date with techniques and products for that particular task.

Supervision of our teams is undertaken by our two Shift Supervisors who operate during our day and night shifts.

The Night Shift Supervisor is qualified in Certificate Three Cleaning Operations. The key functions of this role are to manage teams that operate on after hours office cleans, stock sites with consumables, security alarms are disarmed and armed correctly. The supervisor works as part of this team which gives our customers confidence that all maintenance tasks are up to the required expectation.

Our Day Shift Supervisor has graduated in elements of  horticulture which has given them an understanding of workplace health and safety for their team and our customers. Even though they already have vast skills and knowledge in the cleaning industry they are currently studying Certificate Three Cleaning Operations.

The Senior Supervisor has Certificate Three Cleaning Operations and has worked in the cleaning industry for over ten years. The Senior Supervisor is responsible for rostering of staff and ordering of consumables to ensure continuity of supply for our customers. Onsite inspections are a key priority for this role to ensure our contractual obligations are being met.

The position of Sales and Customer Relations will communicate with our customers to ensure that any issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. They will also communicate and feedback to the team.

Start Fresh Services manager has been in this role for five years. He is responsible for the overall operation, including contract management human resources, finance and workplace health and safety. He has a Diploma of Management, SQF practitioner and is a food safety auditor giving him the ability to oversee contractual compliance, continuous improvement of work routines and technical reviews of practices.


All staff are required to undergo a police check at pre-employment and every two years during employment.

Staff are required to wear Start Fresh Services uniforms and identification while working on site.
